Tango Jalousie

About this Piece

The Danish violinist and composer Jacob Gade wrote his “gypsy tango” Jalousie in 1925, for the Danish opening of the American silent film Don Q, Son of Zorro. Gade had been inspired by a newspaper account of a man who murdered his wife in a jealous passion.
