ADAM SILVERMAN (lighting design) works in opera, theater, and dance. Recent productions include La battaglia di Legnano, I due Foscari, and I Lombardi alla prima crociata (Hamburg Opera); Macbeth (West End); Misterman and Dido, Queen of Carthage (Royal National Theatre); Billy Budd, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Rite of Spring, Peter Grimes, Partenope, The Turn of the Screw, Lucia di Lammermoor, Boris Godunov, The Makropulos Case, [CZECH ALERT!] Jenu°fa, and Siegfried (English National Opera); Adriana Lecouvreur (Royal Opera); Aeternum (Royal Ballet), Meistersinger von Nurnberg, Deidamia, and L’Ercole amante (De Nederlandse Opera); Peter Grimes and Aida (Deutsche Oper, Berlin); and Petrushka, The Rite of Spring, Rian, James, Son of James, The Bull, and Giselle (Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre).

Additionally he has lit Tannhäuser (San Francisco Opera); Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, Jeux, and La chûte de la maison Usher (Bregenz Festival); Das Schatzgraber (Oper Frankfurt); Pique Dame (Bayerische Staatsoper); Norma, Orfeo, One Touch of Venus, and the “Eight Little Greats” season (Opera North); Orfeo and Imeneo (Glimmerglass Opera); La traviata (New Israeli Opera); the premiere of the play Five Gold Rings (Almeida Theatre); the musical Beauty and the Beast (Royal Shakespeare Company); and the play A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (Broadway).
