Kaba Modern
Kaba Modern is a collegiate dance group founded in 1992 by Arnel Calvario. This team started as a proud part of the Filipino-American club, Kababayan, at the University of California, Irvine and has since evolved to be one of the earliest pioneers of the hip hop dance community in Southern California. Now celebrating their 29th anniversary, Kaba Modern has lived on as a family of artists who embrace diverse dance forms in the pursuit of growth and creative expression. Today’s team is a product of this incredible legacy.
