Leticia Silva

Leticia Silva was born in Havana, Cuba. She began her training at the Ballet School “Alejo Carpentier” and finished it at the National Ballet School. She graduated in 2008 and began to work for the National Ballet of Cuba. With this company she travelled around America and Europe performing Giselle, Swan Lake, La fille mal gardée, Coppélia, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. She has also danced in Concierto en blanco y negro (“Concert in black and white”) by José Parés, Dionaea and Flora by Gustavo Herrera, Después del diluvio (“After the rain”) by Alberto Méndez, Napoli by August Bournonville; Sylphides by Michel Fokine; Theme and Variations by George Balanchine and Prologue for a tragedy by Brian MacDonald. She has also worked with other Cuban and foreign choreographers like Maysabel Pintado (Espectral and Preludios en la noche), Luvién Mederos (Sistemas) and Peter Quanz (Le Papillon).

In 2015, she joined Acosta Danza and since then has danced with the company in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the United States and South America.
