MARGERY SIMKIN (Casting Director) grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey, and attended UC Santa Cruz, graduating with a B.A. in a major that had nothing to do with show business.

Lying about her experience led to her first casting-related position, and soon after she landed an assignment finding non-professionals for the original Fame. She has since more conventionally cast numerous films and some TV including Beverly Hills Cop, Brazil, Field of Dreams, Erin Brockovich, Marley & Me, and Avatar. She is currently back in space working on both the Star Trek: Discovery series and the Avatar sequels.
