Hello, my name is Nataly Gonzalez. I am 19 years old and I am from Koreatown, Los Angeles. I am currently studying sociology at California State University Northridge. I was a member of the YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles), playing trumpet for about nine years. I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the YOLA National Festival in 2019. Through the festival, I was also able to become a member of the YOLA National Institute where I am working together with the other fellows to share our experiences in and around music. I see the Institute as a platform to amplify the different and valuable perspectives that youth involved in music can provide.
