Simon Morrison is Professor of Music and Slavic Languages and Literatures at Princeton University, where he specializes on Russian and French music, including ballet. The second edition of his Russian Opera and the Symbolist Movement is forthcoming from University of California Press. In 2008 he collaborated with Mark Morris on a restoration of the original, “happy ending" version of Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo and Juliet. This spring he has been a visiting professor at University of Southern California.
