Seating

Accessible Seating for Guests with Disabilities

Seating areas for patrons in wheelchairs or semi-ambulatory patrons and their guests are available on all levels of Walt Disney Concert Hall. We regret that ushers may not physically assist patrons wishing to transfer into theater seats.

Accessible seating is available to those with mobility disabilities who require accessible seating because of their disability, at most price levels. This includes individuals who use wheelchairs, those who use other mobility devices, and people who cannot climb steps or walk long distances because of significant arthritis, or severe respiratory, circulatory, or cardiac conditions. Individuals who, because of their disability, cannot sit in a straight-back chair or those whose service dogs cannot fit under a non-accessible seat are also permitted to purchase accessible seats.

Service Animals

We welcome service dogs at Walt Disney Concert Hall. If you will be accompanied by a service dog during your performance, please contact the Box Office when you are purchasing your tickets so we are able to accommodate you and others in an appropriate location.

Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA. This also applies to other species of animals, whether wild or domestic, trained or untrained.

The ADA requires the service animal to be under the control of the handler. This can be by means of a harness, leash, or other tether. The animal must be housebroken. The LA Phil is not required to provide for the care or supervision of a service animal, including cleaning up after it. The LA Phil has the right to deny access to a dog that disrupts our operations. The LA Phil will exclude a service animal when its behavior poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
