LOS ANGELES (September 10, 2026) — This fall, the LA Phil welcomes back Neighborhood Concerts, presenting four free concerts in four cities across Los Angeles County from October through December 2026. These concerts are free to attend and will be held in Bellflower at Bristol Civic Auditorium on Saturday, October 10; Rowland Unified School District Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 14; Lancaster Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 5; and Compton College on Friday, December 11. 

“For more than three decades, Neighborhood Concerts have been a keystone in our connection with communities across Los Angeles,” said Kim Noltemy, President & CEO of the LA Phil program. “We are proud to bring the orchestra directly into neighborhoods throughout the region and create opportunities for people of all ages to experience the orchestra.”

Building on that legacy, the LA Phil is working with partners in Bellflower, Rowland Heights, Lancaster and Compton to expand access to the performing arts for audiences of all ages. These concerts strengthen relationships that extend beyond a single performance and connect generations of Angelenos through world-class music by collaborating with community centers, schools, performing arts venues and local civic, educational and cultural organizations.

In October and November, conductor, composer and pianist Mert Yalniz, recognized as one of the most compelling artistic voices of his generation, will lead ensembles of LA Phil musicians in free concerts in Bellflower and Rowland Heights. The series continues into the holiday season with festive brass performances by members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Lancaster and Compton.

The October 10 Bellflower concert follows the success of last year’s Neighborhood Concert in Southeast Los Angeles County, where more than 700 people experienced a free orchestral performance. The concert continues the LA Phil’s engagement in the region and creates another opportunity for families and neighbors to gather through live music.

“The LA Phil is one of the greatest orchestras in the world, and we are bringing them right here to Bellflower,” said Supervisor Janice Hahn, who represents Bellflower. “I know it’s not easy to drive across the county to Downtown Los Angeles or Hollywood for a show. I’m thrilled that families in Bellflower will get to enjoy the LA Phil right in their own neighborhood.”

The Neighborhood Concert series continues in the San Gabriel Valley on Saturday, November 14, at the Rowland Unified School District Performing Arts Center in Rowland Heights. Opened in 2022, the center serves students and families from Rowland Heights, Walnut, La Puente, the City of Industry, West Covina and surrounding communities. The concert activates this community-supported venue as a gathering place for the region and introduces local audiences of all ages to the LA Phil.

After bringing the LA Phil’s Neighborhood Concert to Hacienda Heights last year, I am proud to continue our partnership and bring this free concert to Rowland Heights. It gives families a chance to experience world-class music together, introduces young people to the arts and strengthens the cultural life of our communities. Rowland USD Superintendent of Schools Alejandro Flores said, “On behalf of the Rowland Unified Board of Education, we are thrilled to welcome the Los Angeles Philharmonic to our District’s state-of-the-art performing arts center. This neighborhood concert celebrates the power of the arts to bring our community together and reflects our Board’s continued commitment to expanding access to meaningful cultural experiences. In December, members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic will perform at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 5, and Compton College on Friday, December 11. Drawing on the festive spirit of the LA Phil’s annual Deck the Hall celebrations at Walt Disney Concert Hall, both concerts will feature the Holiday Brass Ensemble performing seasonal favorites for the whole family.

The Lancaster concert marks a long-awaited return to the Antelope Valley.

At Compton College on December 11, the performance will bring students, families and neighbors together for a holiday celebration on a campus rooted in the community.

Since 1991, the LA Phil has brought these free performances beyond the concert hall to give audiences an opportunity to experience the orchestra closer to home at no cost. Tickets for the Bellflower Neighborhood Concert will be available beginning Tuesday, September 15, and tickets for all other concerts in the LA Phil Neighborhood Concert series will become available one month before each performance, through laphil.com/neighborhoodconcerts. Admission is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
