Series Provides Deeper Insight into Music with Video Element, Podcast, Pre-Concert Conversation and Post-Concert Q&A

Los Angeles, November 18, 2016 - The Los Angeles Philharmonic's Friday evening concert series Inside the Music with Brian Lauritzen returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall, offering audiences an invitation to learn more about the music performed during four specially selected orchestral presentations.

Hosted by award-winning KUSC classical radio host Brian Lauritzen, the series provides audiences an array of enhancements before and after each concert to help them get the most out of their experience with the LA Phil. These include:

Preview Videos: Specially produced behind-the-scenes videos emailed to ticketholders ahead of the concert.  

Podcasts: An extended podcast examining all aspects of the music, with intriguing information on each piece and illuminating interviews, emailed to ticketholders in advance of the concert.

Pre-Concert Presentations: Preceding each concert, Lauritzen joins patrons in the concert hall for a deeper discussion into that evening's programmed music. These include artist interviews and even some live performances.     

Post-Concert Q&A: Immediately following the concert, patrons have the opportunity to engage with guest artists and LA Phil musicians through post-concert interviews and Q&A sessions led by Lauritzen (December 9 excluded).  

Each element of this series can stand alone or be combined, giving patrons a choice in how they connect to each concert's programmed music, composers and artists.
