What is YOLA?
An overview of our young symphony of change
Learn about the intensive music program that trains, mentors, and empowers the next generation of musicians, leaders, and agents of social change.
Since 2007, YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) has provided young people from communities across Los Angeles and nationwide with a variety of services including high-quality music training, free instruments, mentorship, and academic support. Inspired by the revolutionary El Sistema program that brought up the world-renowned conductor and LA Phil's Music & Artistic Director, Walt and Lilly Disney Chair, Gustavo Dudamel, YOLA promotes collaboration among peers and mentors, encouraging a close-knit community on and off the stage.
