Conductor Emmanuel Villaume replaces Vasily Petrenko in the Los Angeles Philharmonic subscription concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, at 8 pm, and at Santa Barbara’s Granada Theatre, Sunday, May 3, at 4 pm. Due to the sad and unexpected passing of his mother, Maestro Petrenko has returned to St. Petersburg to attend her funeral. 

French pianist Lise de la Salle remains as the soloist for the performances.

Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life) will be replaced by that composer’s Don Juan and Till Eulenspiegel in the program. The updated program is as follows:
