Los Angeles, CA (June 10, 2015) - Power up the DeLorean! Recharge your flux capacitor! To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Back to the Future, the iconic film will be shown in its entirety on the Hollywood Bowl’s giant HD screen with its orchestral score played live by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, on Tuesday, June 30 at 8:30 p.m.

Fans of the film are in for a treat, as the evening begins with a special appearance and introduction on stage by producer and co-writer Bob Gale, who will be joined by members of the film’s cast, including: Christopher Lloyd (Emmet “Doc” Brown), Lea Thompson (Lorraine Baines), Donald Fullilove (Goldie Wilson) and Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker); as well as composer Alan Silvestri. In different areas of the Bowl grounds, outside the amphitheatre, three DeLoreans, replicas of the car used in the film, will be on display, as well as a replica of Marty McFly’s 4x4 truck.

Led by conductor David Newman, the Los Angeles Philharmonic will perform Alan Silvestri’s electrifying score, including nearly 20 minutes of new music composed by Silvestri for the live orchestra presentations of the film - most notably a new original, orchestral score for the main and end title credits. Additional scenes throughout the film will also feature new music.

Back to the Future – in Concert is produced by FILM CONCERTS LIVE! who last year signed a worldwide deal with Universal Pictures to present the Academy Award®-winning film at major concert venues around the world with live orchestral accompaniment. The production had its worldwide premiere last month in Lucerne, Switzerland with two sold-out shows. Back to the Future – in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl will be the West Coast Premiere of this presentation.

Back to the Future, starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Crispin Glover, is the epic sci-fi adventure that topped the 1985 box office spawning two wildly successful sequels and stamping a permanent imprint on pop culture consciousness.

One of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world, with a seating capacity of nearly 18,000, the HOLLYWOOD BOWL has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since its official opening in 1922, and plays host to the finest artists from all genres of music. It remains one of the best deals anywhere in Los Angeles; to this day, $1 buys a seat at the top of the Bowl for many classical and jazz offerings. The venue offers something for everyone, from its sizzling summer evening concerts to the daytime arts festival for children, “SummerSounds: World Music for Kids at the Hollywood Bowl,” now in its 48th season. In February 2015, the Hollywood Bowl was named Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue for the eleventh year in a row at the 26th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. For millions of music lovers across Southern California, the Hollywood Bowl is synonymous with summer. http://www.HollywoodBowl.com
