    The Los Angeles Philharmonic's holiday series continues with a lively program featuring the Canadian Brass at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday, December 13, at 8 p.m. The program includes classic holiday favorites, beloved seasonal tunes, and a rousing sing-along finale.

    The Canadian Brass consists of trumpeters Josef Burgstaller and Stuart Laughton, hornist Jeff Nelsen, trombonist Eugene Watts, and Charles Daellenbach on tuba. The program celebrates Luther Henderson's Christmas music and also includes Frescobaldi's Toccata, Handel's Suite from Water Music, Gabrieli's Canzona No. 5, Mozart's Rondo, and the Concerto in G major for Piccolo Trumpet by Bach-Vivaldi.

    The Los Angeles Philharmonic's holiday celebrations continue with Oy, Chanukah (Klezmer Conservatory Band) on December 16; Sing We Christmas (Chanticleer) on December 18; Glory, Glory Glory! (Shirley Caesar Gospel Christmas) on December 20; A Merry Mancini Christmas (Henry Mancini Institute Alumni Orchestra with special guests Debbie Allen, Michael Bublé, Dom DeLuise, Dakota Fanning, Gloria Loring, Monica Mancini, Robin Thicke, Diane Reeves, plus the Angel City Chorale and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Dancers) on December 23; and Pink Martini on December 31.

    The virtuosi of the CANADIAN BRASS have, for more than 30 years, made the brass quintet an exciting vehicle for serious concert music. Founded in 1970 in Toronto, Canada, the group has developed a unique character and rapport with audiences that has proved successful. The Canadian Brass tour frequently and have appeared with many major orchestras in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Japan. They have transcribed, arranged, and commissioned more than 200 works. The ensemble has a long recording history with more than 50 albums to its name.
