This choreography had its world premiere in the season Acosta Danza Première, presented in April 2016, at the Gran Teatro de la Habana Alicia Alonso. The author takes to the dance his impressions on contemporary Cuba, a country of mixes and contrasts. Between the traditional and the modern, poverty and development, the classic and the most corrosive, the real wonderful.

Alexis Fernández was born in 1975 in Santiago de Cuba. He graduated from the Cuban National Ballet in Havana and also the National School of Arte, Havana.Fernández has worked with many dance companies in Cuba, Ecuador and Spainincluding; Danza Contemporánea de Cuba and La Intrusa–Damián Muñoz,Barcelona. In 2009, together with Caterina Varela La Macana, Fernández foundedhis own company based in Galicia, Spain. With his company, he creates new choreographies and dance projects to work with many international artists.
