Every YOLA success—from its local impact to its national influence—is built on a foundation of partnership. Though all of our hubs are guided by this unified philosophy and mission, we design each neighborhood program to serve the specific needs of its community.
YOLA at Inglewood
Location: Inglewood | Established: 2021
YOLA at Inglewood is a free, community-based music education program that empowers young people through ensemble-based learning and artistic development. The program provides students with high-quality instruction, instruments, and opportunities to build musical skills while fostering teamwork, creativity, and confidence. Rooted in the local community, YOLA at Inglewood supports students’ academic and personal growth by using music as a pathway to self-expression, discipline, and connection.
YOLA at HOLA
Location: Rampart District | Established: 2010
YOLA at HOLA (Heart of Los Angeles) classes include music creativity, singing and solfège, ensemble rehearsals, and an hour of academic tutoring daily. This holistic approach fosters a sense of community and provides the students with the opportunity to take advantage of HOLA’s exceptional programs and resources.

YOLA at Griffith
Location: East LA | Established: 2026
Legacy Site: YOLA at Torres / 2014 – 2026
Located on the campus of Griffith STEAM Magnet Middle School in East LA, YOLA at Griffith continues the legacy of YOLA at Torres, offering students an intensive, nurturing musical environment with orchestral instruction, group lessons, and academic tutoring. The program builds on more than a decade of music-making in East LA, welcoming both returning YOLA families and a new generation of young musicians.
YOLA at Griffith is made possible in partnership with Griffith STEAM Magnet Middle School, LAUSD, and Beyond the Bell.
YOLA at Camino Nuevo
Location: Westlake/MacArthur Park | Established: 2017
YOLA at Camino Nuevo is the first in-school YOLA model, allowing the LA Phil to bring rigorous music education into the school day and extend it after school. Currently serving students in grades K-10 at the Kayne Siart and Dalzell Lance campuses of Camino Nuevo Charter Academy.
