María del Mar Moreno
María del Mar Moreno born in Jerez de la Frontera, represents flamenco from Jerez and its origins. Her artistic approach reflects traditional dance style with a touch of current flamenco accents.
In 2001, she founded her own flamenco company “Jerez Puro” showcasing her first show “Momentitos de Locura” within Festival de Jerez with great acclaimed success and went on to receive Audience Award for Best Show for “Jerez Puro, Esencia” in the IX JEREZ FESTIVAL.
Her most recent performances have included her most personal “Maria, Maria in which she explored the interesting and rich duality of the woman, the artist, the dancer and the philologist. Her most recent participation in The 52nd Fiesta de la Buleria, Jerez : “Mujeres de Cal y Cante”; an all-star female cast included María Terremoto, Juana la del Pipa, La Fabi, Pastora Galvan, and La Moneta.
