On September 25, James Blake made his Hollywood Bowl debut, teaming up with conductor Thomas Wilkins and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra to present his unique and emotionally bracing electronic music with orchestral arrangements. He sat down with KCRW’s Anthony Valadez to talk about how the concert came together, preparing to work with an orchestra, and how he brought “unusual elements” into the concert.
