Three concerts have been added to the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 2022/23 Season at Walt Disney Concert Hall—Nathaniel Rateliff Plays Nilsson (March 8), Rodrigo Amarante (April 21) and Psycho with Orchestra (May 12). Tickets for all three concerts go on sale Tuesday, January 10, at 10AM PST.

Nathaniel Rateliff will be joined by an orchestra for a performance of Harry Nilsson’s album A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night in its entirety, as well as a selection of Nilsson originals. The original album takes listeners on a narrative arc through infatuation, courting, marriage, separation, and the inevitable slide into old age. Singer and songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff breathes new life into this classic, blending his folk, Americana, and vintage rhythm & blues influences with Nilsson’s tribute to the Golden Age of American music.

Rodrigo Amarante takes a new approach in sound for his debut at Walt Disney Concert Hall, bringing a new ensemble of musicians and a repertoire full of surprises. A longtime resident, Amarante returns for his first LA performance since October 2021 at The Ford for the release of his latest album, Drama. Expect an exciting night celebrating songs from each of his many projects, some of his new unreleased material, as well as some of his favorite Brazilian songs.

Thanks to Bernard Herrmann’s remarkably inventive strings-only composition, the American Film Institute has ranked the ferocious musical driving force of Psycho among the Top Ten Greatest Film Scores of All Time. The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, led by conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos, underscores the emotional tension of the soul-searing plot, while one of the greatest—and most nerve-wracking—films of all time is projected on Walt Disney Concert Hall’s big screen.
