Beloved former LA Phil Music Director Zubin Mehta conducts Bruckner and Mozart, and the LA Phil’s new Principal Guest Conductor Susanna Mälkki leads an evening that includes the massive Alpine Symphony. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Leila Josefowicz in a performance of his Violin Concerto. The series opens and closes with Gustavo Dudamel leading two afternoons devoted to Mozart and Schumann, respectively.
