Los Angeles Philharmonic Series

Thursday 1 (TH1)
This outstanding series, with its five Dudamel concerts, features him conducting music from Beethoven to Brett Dean – including Mozart’s opera Così fan tutte – and being joined by such soloists as Leif Ove Andsnes (for Beethoven) Alisa Weilerstein (for Tchaikovsky), and Lang Lang (for Prokofiev).

Thursday 2 (TH2)
The only other series with five concerts led by Gustavo Dudamel, TH2 includes such guest artists as Yefim Bronfman, Yuja Wang, Emanuel Ax, and Joshua Bell, and features music by Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, Brahms, Beethoven, Mozart, and many more.

Friday Evening 1 (FR1)
From a 10th anniversary celebration featuring Dudamel and Bronfman to the Minimalist Jukebox program featuring Andriessen De Materie this season covers a lot of musical ground in just four concerts.

Friday Evening 2 (FR2)
This fantastic series includes three programs led by Gustavo Dudamel, including Mozart’s opera Così fan tutte and Dudamel’s first Christmas program here.

Friday Evening 3 (FR3)
Friday 3 features a focus on lively masterpieces of the early 20th century, with plenty of music by Debussy, Ravel, Bartók, and Prokofiev. Dudamel conducts two of the four concerts!

Casual Fridays 1 (FRC1)
FRC1 includes a performance from TchaikovskyFest, one from the Ax Brahms project, and three brilliantly talented women: Alison Balsom, Alisa Weilerstein and Hélène Grimaud. Dudamel conducts twice.

Casual Fridays 2 (FRC2)
Four superb soloists, four terrific conductors, an Ax Brahms project concert, and 10th Anniversary Celebration are among the many highlights of this series.

Friday Midday (FRM)
This Friday favorite features Dudamel conducting Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Mozart, Sibelius, and more. Guest artists include Itzhak Perlman, Yuja Wang, and Joshua Bell.

Saturday Evening 1 (SA1)
This magnificent series begins with two Anniversary concerts and boasts such guest artists as Leila Josefowicz, Hilary Hahn, Charles Dutoit, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Emanuel Ax. Dudamel conducts four performances.

Saturday Evening 2 (SA2)
This abundant series ranges from Haydn and Beethoven to Adams and Riley (world premiere). Guest artists include Leif Ove Andsnes, Itzhak Perlman, Semyon Bychkov, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, John Adams, Cameron Carpenter, and Lang Lang.

Saturday Evening 3 (SA3)
Gustavo Dudamel leads Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, and Brahms, among others. Special concerts include an Anniversary Celebration and a Minimalist Jukebox concert of Philip Glass.

Saturday Matinee (SAM)
This popular series concludes with the grand finale of our Mozart/Da Ponte Trilogy, Così fan tutte. Leading up to it are an all-Dvořák program, Ax playing Brahms, a TchaikovskyFest performance, and more.

Sunday 1 (SU1)
SU1 boasts three programs with Gustavo (including Mozart’s Così fan tutte), and such guests as Yefim Bronfman, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Itzhak Perlman, Yuja Wang, Hilary Hahn, Charles Dutoit, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, among others.

Sunday 2 (SU2)
Gustavo Dudamel begins with his ongoing Beethoven cycle featuring Leif Ove Andsnes, conducts Brahms, and teams with Lang Lang for Prokofiev. From beloved classics to exciting lesser-known works, this series has a magnificent stylistic range.

Sunday 3 (SU3)
Salonen leads Sibelius and his own astonishing Violin Concerto to start this wonderful series. Dudamel leads his first Christmas concert here, as well as music by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Ravel.

CE2 begins with András Schiff in one of his Bach Keyboard Cycle recitals and continues with other major stars, including Emanuel Ax, Yo-Yo Ma, Evgeny Kissin and the Labèque sisters.
