In A Shadowy Figure Went Past, LA Phil Principal Timpanist Joseph Pereira conjures a dark world of distant memories where the ghost of Mahler looms large, while Shelley Washington and Kevin Day blend elements of jazz, rock, folk, and fusion into personal works of unbridled joy that celebrate the thrill of musical collaboration. And in Mozart's only string trio, the composer transforms simple melodies into an expansive collection of inventive, energetic dances Albert Einstein called “a contribution to spiritual and sensuous fulfillment in sound.” Come early and enjoy a glass of wine on us to complete the perfect night out.
